BREAKING: Bayern Munich win 8th consecutive Bundesliga title

Bayern Munich claimed the their eighth consecutive Bundesliga title after defeating Werder Bremen 1-0 away from home, on Tuesday.

Robert Lewandowski first-half strike was enough for Hansa Flick’s men to clinch the title at the expense of Borussia Dortmund.

The win against Werder Bremen marked their 11th straight Bundesliga win which gave them a massive 10 points lead over Borussia Dortmund with three games to spare. The Bavarians finished the match with 10 men after Alphonso Davies was sent off for two yellow-card offences.

 Lewandowski has scored 31 league goals this season a tally that equals Arsneal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s record. The Gabonese got that tally in in 2016-17 during his time with Borussia Dortmund.

The Polish striker still have the chance to set a new record in the German Bundesliga, with three games still left to play this season.
