Australian Firefighters Pose For 2021 Calendar

Wildlife has a long-standing relationship with fire as it’s a natural part of landscapes. Big wildfires have torn across countries and states and are apparently hurting some animals. While a few escape, some species thrive hard to live. Authorities, organizations, and even celebrities have been of good support in terms of donations, but one which strikes the heart of many is Australian Firefighters.

From a humble beginning in 1993, the Australian Firefighters Calendar, presently in its 28th year has raised over $3 million for numerous charities and has been releasing a yearly calendar where they pose with cute animals. Specifically, 2019 and 2020 are particularly devastating years as it witnessed huge bushfires and lost over a billion animals from their diverse native wildlife.

And while fires might have gone, the Australian Firefighters via their 2021 Charity calendar aim at treating injured wildlife from previous fires. 2020’s calendar had assisted in paying for supplies and new equipment over the course of nearly six months.

Hundreds of firefighters from across Australia had submitted photos to partake in the calendar’s photoshoot, but a total of twenty-four was chosen. The animals featured in the calendar came from a few local refuge charities and Currumbin Wildlife Hospital and Sanctuary. Puppies, kittens, horses, cats, goats, lambs, alpacas, among others featured in the calendar.

The firefighters did bond well with the animals they posed with and a few adopted them. However, the 2021 calendars are raising funds for native animal charities are that currently assisting fragile animals and evidently a mixture of muscular and hotness has been displayed by men with a heart of gold.
